About Julsing & Co

Freddy & Kay May 2004 at meditation seminarI created Julsing & Co. shortly after Freddy passed away in 2005. The purpose of Julsing & Co. is to honor Freddy’s wishes to preserve, protect and share his art with the world.

Julsing & Co. is dedicated to sharing Freddy’s amazing range of art work with passionate and playful appreciators of fine art. His comic strips, product labels and fine art are well known in The Netherlands, and one of the goals of this website is to introduce this colorful and multileveled art with the population of collectors and connoisseurs worldwide.
Deirdre and Freddy
Freddy, and his first wife Anita, had one daughter, Deirdre. It was she who inspired the creation of one of his most famous characters, Ukkie. This character adorns the delicious chocolate spread, “Ukkie Chocopasta” sold by Natudis BV,  now Wessanen Benelux, in The Netherlands. Deirdre lives in The Netherlands, and continues to support the ongoing sharing of her father’s artwork.

A close relation to the Ukkie character is Tee Hee, who is known for her enthusiasm for life and for the world. Freddy created many slogans for Tee Hee which bring inspiration and joy to any and all who see them.

One of Freddy’s creative strengths was in weaving his spiritual, consciousnessKay & Deirdre-expanding ideas and themes into his art. His contemporary fine art “Spheres Series” is an excellent example of this.

Freddy was dedicated to his own spiritual journey, and art was a vehicle for him in this purpose. He created many works that were in alignment with the greater light and consciousness awareness. Even in his comic strips a thread of consciousness evolution can be found.

His alter ego character, Professor Ich, continually brought forth insights and unusual perspectives, that could only come through an alternate persona. Freddy and Professor Ich had a close relationship, and explored deep philosophical ideas together. Sidekick character, Tuimel, was so integral to this process that he ended up as part of Freddy’sFreddy's signature & Tuimel signature on his stationary.

The purpose of this website is not only to promote Freddy’s art, but also his passionate dedication to  the expansion of consciousness, the coming into the Light, and the joyful playfulness of everyday life.

I invite you to join me in honoring Freddy Albert Julsing (1942 – 2005) Kay and Freddy enjoying a cappuccino in Amsterdamand his timeless and brilliant art; to allow you to view and connect with his art in your own way; and to offer you the opportunity to purchase high quality Giclée prints for your own enjoyment and conscious evolution.
